Ready To Pass Driver Training
Terms and Conditions
- Instructor Availability
Each instructor chooses their own working days and hours. Please discuss availability with your instructor when booking lessons.
Lessons are generally available Monday to Friday, although some instructors may offer weekend lessons.
We recommend booking driving tests with start times after 9:30am where possible, to avoid peak rush-hour traffic.
- Lesson Booking and Payment
All lessons must be paid for in advance or, at the latest, on the day of the lesson.
Payment can be made directly to your instructor by cash or bank transfer. Payment through the app is available, but we do not generally recommend this option as the app provider charges additional fees for processing payments.
Please ask your instructor for their bank details.
Failure to pay for lessons may result in the cancellation of future bookings.
- Lesson Duration
Lesson duration will be agreed at the time of booking. Lessons are typically based on:
- Standard lesson: 50 minutes
• Extended lesson: 75 minutes
• Double lesson: 100 minutes
Lesson time includes:
• Briefing and debriefing
• Practical driving time
- Cancellations and Missed Lessons
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
Persistent cancellations:
If you cancel three lessons during your training, we reserve the right to terminate your tuition.
- Instructor Cancellations
Our instructors make every effort to arrive on time. However, delays may occur due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, you will be informed in advance.
We reserve the right to rearrange lessons due to:
- Driving test commitments
• Mechanical issues
• Illness
• Holidays
Occasionally, a pupil may secure a short-notice driving test cancellation that requires the use of the instructor’s time and vehicle. Due to current DVSA waiting times and the limited availability of driving tests, lessons may need to be rearranged to accommodate these appointments.
Advance notice will be given wherever possible.
- Driving Test Bookings
You must check with your instructor regarding any holiday dates or periods of unavailability before booking or changing your driving test.
Your instructor’s holiday dates can be found within the Resources section of your app.
- Use of Vehicle for the Driving Test
A mock driving test will normally be conducted at least three weeks before your practical test.
Our instructors reserve the right to refuse the use of their vehicle and/or attendance at the driving test if, in their professional opinion, you have not reached the required standard.
Once you have been assessed as test-ready, your instructor will provide their ADI reference number for use when booking your test.
- Refunds Policy
As lessons are booked individually and not as part of a block booking scheme:
Payments for completed lessons are non-refundable.
If a lesson is cancelled with the required notice period (a minimum of 24 hours), payment may be:
- Transferred to a future booking; or
• Refunded at the instructor’s discretion.
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice)
• Missed lessons
• Lessons refused because the pupil is unfit to drive (for example, through alcohol, drugs, illness, or medication affecting their ability to drive safely)
Any agreed refunds will be processed via the original payment method where possible.
- Pupil Responsibilities
You must:
- Hold a valid UK provisional driving licence
• Meet the legal eyesight requirements
• Inform your instructor of any medical conditions or licence changes
• Be fit to drive and not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair your ability to drive safely
Failure to meet these requirements may result in the cancellation of the lesson and loss of the lesson fee.
- Conduct and Behaviour
Our instructors aim to provide a professional, respectful and supportive learning environment in accordance with guidance from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your lessons, please raise the matter directly with your instructor so it can be resolved promptly.
We reserve the right to terminate tuition if a pupil’s behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, abusive, or otherwise unacceptable.
- Data Protection (GDPR)
Your personal data will be collected and stored solely for the purposes of managing your driving lessons and will be handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent unless required by law.
- General Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where necessary.
Continued booking and attendance of lessons constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
